Position: Inventory Controller - (PD)

Job Description

The Purchasing & Inventory Controller is responsible for the effective management of procurement activities, inventory control, and asset tracking to ensure smooth operations and financial accountability. This role oversees the acquisition of goods and services, maintains accurate inventory records, and safeguards company assets throughout their lifecycle. The position requires close collaboration with procurement, logistics, finance, and operational teams to optimize stock levels, minimize losses, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities Purchasing & Procurement
  • Manage the full purchasing cycle: create, review, and approve purchase orders.
  • Monitor outstanding purchase orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Track and account for all purchases made local and overseas.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records in company systems.
Inventory & Asset Management
  • Ensure that items purchased are received and delivered to the appropriate person.
  • Keep accurate records of inventory and fixed assets.
  • Oversee acquisition, tagging, labeling, and registration of assets.
  • Track asset movement, usage, maintenance, and disposal per policy.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and asset audits; reconcile discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of stock/equipment.
  • Monitor stock levels, forecast needs, and coordinate replenishment.
  • Prepare and submit inventory and asset reports for management.
  • Investigate discrepancies or losses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support process improvements for efficiency and compliance with safety and legal requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, asset management, or warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency with inventory and asset management systems (ERP/WMS) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Knowledge of asset life cycle processes and inventory control best practices.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and compliance regulations related to storage and handling.locally
