Night Transport Operator – Nights - Permanent Role.

Location: Knowsley

Working hours: Monday to Friday nights,
21:00 – 07:00

Flexibility required to provide holiday cover on occasion, working:

• 16:00 – 02:00 or
• 18:00 – 04:00

• Operate effectively within a fast-paced night shift environment, making live planning decisions to maintain service levels and delivery performance.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and drivers, ensuring a high level of service and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
• Effectively use transport management systems and Microsoft Office applications to maintain data accuracy and support reporting requirements.
• Support and lead initiatives aimed at improving transport performance, efficiency and service delivery.
• Liaise with multiple departments to maintain smooth workflows and support business objectives.
• Monitor live operations and make informed decisions to address delays and other operational challenges.
• Review and analyse data trends to support efficient transport planning and operational performance.
• Deliver a clear and thorough shift handover to the day team, highlighting key updates, issues and priorities.

• Knowledge and experience of transport planning operations within the container sector would be beneficial
• Experienced in using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Outlook, within a professional environment.
• Excellent IT proficiency and a proven ability to quickly embrace new technologies.
• Exceptional organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
