- Support the planning and coordination of daily transport operations.
- Accurately update transport and warehouse management systems.
- Monitor vehicle arrivals, departures and delivery schedules.
- Proactively manage outstanding orders to achieve the highest possible OTIF (On Time In Full) performance.
- Assist with warehouse loading and unloading plans.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers and transport providers.
- Provide timely updates on deliveries, collections and operational issues.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Liaise with hauliers, shipping lines, ports and other service providers.
- Support the coordination of container movements.
- Assist with transport scheduling and resource planning activities.
- Prepare transport and container documentation.
- Coordinate import and export paperwork with customers and the Customs Department.
- Maintain accurate operational records.
- Ensure documentation complies with company procedures and legal requirements.
- Support the Distribution Manager with operational planning and reporting.
- Monitor operational performance and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Assist with the implementation of new customer requirements.
- Provide general administrative support across the distribution function, including supporting warehouse picking and loading activities when required.
- Comply with all company policies and Health & Safety procedures.
- Ensure operational documentation meets compliance standards.
- Promptly report operational issues and safety concerns.
- Support and promote a positive safety culture.
The successful candidate will be a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with previous experience in a transport, logistics, warehousing or supply chain administration role. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, communicating with a range of stakeholders and ensuring high levels of accuracy in your work.
- Previous experience in distribution, transport, warehousing or supply chain administration.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using transport management systems (TMS) and/or warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of customs procedures and import/export documentation.
- Experience coordinating container movements.
- Logistics, transport or warehouse industry experience.
- Understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
- Highly organised and methodical.
- Proactive and solution-focused.
- Customer-focused with a professional approach.
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, adaptable and dependable.
- Able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Monday to Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm.
