About the Role
HC‑One are looking for a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping. You’ll also need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as ideally some IT skills, and whenever you communicate with a resident or co‑worker you’ll be truly considerate and kind.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Maintenance Operative you will ensure that our residents live in a place that is proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times. You will carry out audits and keep records up to date. Whether you’re replacing a tap or mixer valve, fitting a new extractor fan, repairing the timber on a bedroom window or putting up new wallpaper, you will do so with a sense of kindness above anything else.
SafeguardingSafeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
