We are seeking to recruit two part‑time Domestic Assistants for Philharmonic Court Halls of Residence at the University of Liverpool.

Looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to student life? Join the University of Liverpool as a Domestic Assistant and help create a clean, safe and welcoming environment within our student residences.

You’ll be responsible for cleaning and preparing student bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring high standards of housekeeping and customer service are maintained at all times.

During the summer months, working across all residential buildings to support the annual accommodation turnaround will be required, including clearing & cleaning rooms & kitchens, deep cleaning and preparing rooms for new residents, as well as assisting with conference set up cleaning, bed making and turnaround often to a strict schedule.

We’re looking for someone who is:
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-focused with a commitment to high standards
  • Friendly and professional when interacting with students and visitors

Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

There are two posts available, and the hours of work are 17.5 per week:
Monday & Tuesday 9:00am – 1:00pm Wednesday & Thursday 9:00am - 12:30pm
Friday 9:00am – 11:30am.

Experience in the cleaning industry and knowledge of COSHH and manual handling is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

You will need to be reliable, consistent, trustworthy, flexible and friendly, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
