Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a large, high‑profile demolition and groundworks organisation to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. The company is family‑run and has been established nearly 30 years covering the Berkshire and South region of the UK. This role will work closely with the health and safety team and will oversee multiple sites predominantly across the South of England.
Responsibilities- Visiting sites and engaging with teams and site managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical health and safety related enquiries.
- Ensuring sites are compliant with both UK legislation and the organisation's strategy for health and safety through supporting site management and their teams.
- Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact.
- NEBOSH (or equivalent) and membership of IOSH.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within demolition or civil engineering.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations.
- A UK Driver's licence is essential.
