A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR (SALES AND MARKETING) AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY

What you’ll be doing:

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Strategy & Leadership
    • Develop and implement the overall commercial strategy in alignment with company vision and objectives.
    • Identify new market opportunities, partnerships and revenue streams.
    • Support and shape the agreed pricing strategy through positioning, market intelligence and relationships, leading growth.
    • Provide commercial insight to executive leadership for strategic decision‑making.
    • Confidently present and discuss commercial strategy and results with management company and ownership when required.
  • Sales Management
    • Agree annual sales targets, KPIs, and revenue forecasts.
    • Lead and manage the sales and marketing team to achieve and exceed targets.
    • Develop sales policies, processes and performance standards.
    • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where needed.
    • Manage key accounts and strategic customer relationships.
    • Identify opportunities to support continued growth.
  • Marketing Leadership
    • Oversee brand strategy, marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
    • Lead strategically digital marketing, lead generation and customer acquisition initiatives.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
    • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.
  • Financial & Performance Management
    • Prepare and manage sales and marketing budgets.
    • Forecast revenue and monitor profitability.
    • Analyse commercial metrics and performance reports, driving action and output.
    • Optimise return on investment (ROI) for marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Stakeholder & Relationship Management
    • Build strong relationships with customers, distributors and partners.
    • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements.
    • Collaborate with Senior Team Revenue, Operations, Finance and others to ensure seamless execution.

What We Need From You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical abilities.
  • Experience in strategic planning and commercial forecasting.
  • Accor brand experience preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience with luxury markets, programs and agents.
