Job Summary

As we continue to grow, we are looking for driven individuals to support the stores Area Leader to ensure the effective running of the store’s operation. Assisting and supervising the intake, storage, and distribution of dry goods. Working in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, food safety legislation and quality standards specified by our customers.

Supervising the control of all dry goods stock, staff, materials, and equipment including housekeeping within the area. Ensuring a safe, efficient, accurate storage and stock control operation is provided up to the point of distribution ensuring that we have a full traceable process of product and paperwork.

Supervision day-to-day of the site-based stores team supporting the Area Lead in the operation of the area undertaking duties as directed.

Be conversant with four strategic pillars (QVIP). Champion this within the department and the wider site.

Continually evaluating best practices and making sure that your shift uses those practices in the day-to-day operation. Also work to share best practices across shifts to make sure they are embedded within the stores team.

Effectively supervise and support the stores Area Lead in developing and training the dispatch teams. Make sure only staff within the Area that are fully trained on the equipment and signed off are operating those items. All staff within their shift are fully trained and signed off against the legal compliance training.

Ensuring that an efficient, accurate storage and stock control operation is provided and managed daily managing and investigating all stock variances.

  • Trained to be able to cover for holidays and sickness for the Area Lead role.

Undertake any duties as dictated by the stores Area Lead or warehouse manager.

  • Communicate any stock shortages to the stores Area Lead.

Always adhere to all Company rules and policies.

Deputise for the area lead during holidays, sickness, or absence from site.

Liase and assist our sister departments, sleeve room, packaging and yard when needed.

Hours & Pay

Hours:

4 on 4 off 18:00-06:00

Pay: £16.77 per hour.

Candidate Requirements
  • Level 3 Food Safety
  • English/Maths GCSE A
    * to C or Equivalent
  • Reach & Counterbalance Forklift Licences
