The role:
Are you passionate about driving change and improving financial performance across a dynamic organisation? Liverpool City Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Project Manager to support the Finance and Resources Directorate in delivering its ambitious goals.
This is a pivotal role where you’ll manage a number of Finance Improvement projects from inception through to closure on strategic initiatives that enhance service delivery and value for money.
Key Responsibilities Shape and define finance improvement projects and planning at the level appropriate to the complexity of the project
Successfully delivery several diverse finance improvement projects
Proactively identify and overcome obstacles, remove barriers to progress, and escalate risks
Drive the successful adoption of the new processes, systems, and ways of working by supporting business readiness, engaging stakeholders, and promoting the benefits of change
Manage resources and coordinating procurement of good and services related to the projects you lead on Stakeholder management, establishing and maintaining strong working relationships internally and externally to drive successful outcomes
Pro-actively communicate with clarity, gaining buy-in and creating positive impacts
