The role:

Speke East has secured significant long-term investment through the Government's Pride in Place Programme. The programme will provide funding over a ten-year period to support community-led regeneration in the neighbourhood helping to strengthen communities, improve local environments and enable residents to shape the future of their area.

Speke East is supported by a new independent Pride in Place Board made up of residents, community organisations, elected members, the MP and local partners. We are seeking a Neighbourhood Programme Manager to support the development and delivery of the programme.

As the Neighbourhood Programme Manager, you will support our local Board in delivering its long-term vision and priorities. Acting as the key link between communities, partners and stakeholders, you will coordinate programme delivery, manage performance and support the successful implementation of projects that deliver lasting benefits for local residents.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the Pride in Place Board to develop and deliver its ten-year vision and action plan
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with residents, community organisations, elected members, MPs and partner agencies
  • Facilitate community engagement to ensure local priorities inform programme delivery
  • Manage a portfolio of projects, monitoring performance, risks, budgets and outcomes
  • Prepare reports, business cases and performance updates for Boards and stakeholders
  • Foster collaboration across public, private, voluntary and community sectors
  • Support innovative approaches to neighbourhood improvement and regeneration

About You:

  • Experience of programme or project management, neighbourhood management, community engagement or similar
  • Strong stakeholder management and partnership-building skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Experience managing budgets and delivering projects to agreed objectives and timescales
  • Ability to work effectively in complex partnership environments and manage competing priorities

You will be politically aware, highly organised and committed to delivering positive outcomes for Speke East.

Please note this is a Politically Restricted Post.
