Logistics done differently. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to join our Tesco Widnes operation. You will be working Sunday to Thursday, 23:00-07:00, you'll be responsible for leading the night transport operation, supporting and developing colleagues, maintaining compliance standards, and ensuring excellent service delivery for our customer. Were looking to offer a salary of up to £45,000. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with an option to buy an extra 5 days yearly. You will be the most senior point of contact throughout the night and will have management of 14 office colleagues and 210 volume colleagues (excluding agency) plus subcontractors Manage the overall operation of the depot on a night-to-night basis ensuring that agreed targets are achieved in line with business and customer requirements. Monitor planning and dispatch performance and make decisions to protect Customer Service Ensure the Site is legally compliant by ensuring correct processes are in place, have an owner and are monitored.

Ensure reporting deadlines are met for both Financial and Compliance requirements. Proactively promote a health & safety culture Support & encourage a good team working spirit and ensure that the transport team work effectively with the Planning team and communicate frequently to achieve the business objectives Follow all HR requirements in relation to disciplinary, absence management and return to work situations Maximise the potential of new employees by ensuring their operational and psychological engagement and their continual development within the business.
