Production Operative​/Nights

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the precision manufacture of high-performance ropes, cords, and braids. This “hands-on” role requires proactive individuals to operate and monitor specialist textile machinery, ensuring that every product meets our strict technical specifications and quality requirements. Successful candidates will manage the end-to-end production process, from troubleshooting mechanical issues to conducting routine equipment maintenance and documenting activities with high accuracy.

You must possess strong manual dexterity, a positive mindset, and the physical resilience to stand for the duration of a shift, all while collaborating with your team to meet demanding production targets and maintain a safe, efficient working environment.

£12.21 to £15.87 per hour subject to experience

• Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain quality control standards throughout the production process.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Assist in training new operators when required.

• Experience of working within a production process, ideally manufacturing of rope or textiles.
• Good standard of secondary education (GCSEs or equivalent).
• Good standard of verbal & written communication.
• Good command of the English language.
• Good with numbers.
• Manual Dexterity.
• Able to stand all of the working day and undertake the physical activity requirement of the role.
• Team player, reinforcer of good habits and high standards.
• Reliable, dependable and time conscious.
• Presentable.
• Advertised rate reflects starting rate + overtime multiple.
• Progression and uplift will be based on candidate individual experience and development.
• DAY: 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm, with an unpaid break between 12:30-1:30pm. 15-minute break (paid) am and pm.
• NIGHT: 48-hour week, Monday
  -Thursday 6pm to 6.30am, with an unpaid break of 30 minutes, and 2 x 15-minute breaks paid.
