About the role
A new role has arisen within the Domino Liverpool Supply Chain team. The Planning and Materials Lead will cover the management and coaching of the planning and materials teams, ensuring the smooth flow of materials across the business from raw materials and components to issuing an effective production plan. The role will involve coordinating suppliers, optimising the supply chain and driving continuous improvements of KPIs such as OTIF, fluid availability, stock turns and scrap reduction.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Ideally be educated to degree level (maths, sciences, engineering, manufacturing, computing, etc.) or have relevant experience.
- Proven experience in supply chain or an operations environment is essential.
- Proven people management experience that can drive success.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages and technical skills in data extraction and analysis tools (MS Access, Excel, TM1, Oracle, Discoverer, Minitab).
- Competence in ERP systems such as Oracle (preferred), SAP or similar systems.
- A CIPS or CILT qualification or the ambition to work towards one would be desirable.
- Exceptional people skills, with the ability to communicate, engage and influence the team.
- Understanding of modern manufacturing methods (Lean, Focused Improvement, 6S). A green belt qualification would be advantageous.
- The ability to effectively multitask difficult operations, think creatively to solve problems and have the tenacity to drive through to a solution.
- A customer‑centric approach and demonstrable ability to improve efficiencies with robust analysis and controls.
- Flexibility and adaptability to react to unexpected tasks or customer demand.
- Capacity to deal effectively with a high workload, prioritising own workload accordingly.
