We’re looking for experienced CNC Machine Operators to join our team and help us keep production running smoothly. WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Set up and operate CNC machines with siemens controls, including milling and lathes, ensuring precise adherence to specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and use of dimensional measuring equipment.
- Programme CNC machinery using appropriate software and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Handle materials safely, including loading raw materials and managing tooling requirements.
- Conduct quality checks on finished components, ensuring they meet specified tolerances and standards.
- Inspection of own work using a host of conventional measuring techniques (micrometres; verniers; height gauges, etc).
- Maintain accurate documentation of production processes and machine settings.
- Initially working day shift whilst in training, then will move to shift working (rotating 6-2 and 2-10).
- Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments with hands-on operation of CNC machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge related to milling, tooling, and materials handling.
- Competence in basic mathematics for measurements and calculations during setup and production.
- Experience working with hand tools and understanding of materials properties.
- Prior exposure to working in a workshop environment involving fabrication is desirable. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to expand their expertise in CNC machining within a supportive team environment.
