Job

Purpose
  • To support the development and execution of Princes Group plc (‘Princes’) external communications, ensuring messaging effectively reaches multiple stakeholder groups/targets.
  • Manage exposure proactively and reactively to minimise negative coverage on issues that arise.
  • Ensure Princes official and informal written, visual and digital communications and corporate reports deliver a consistent and appropriate message and visual identity.

The role does not involve direct reports but requires interaction, guidance and project management with individuals at all levels of seniority, including the Internal Communications Manager (HR Department) and the Investor Relations team (Italy). The CCE will act as lead on communication issues when the CR Director is unavailable.

The holder shares responsibility for the Corporate Relations cost centre budget and works closely with key agencies.

Principal Responsibilities Corporate communications
  • Co‑develop and execute planned Princes Group communications, ensuring effective reach to all external stakeholders.
  • Lead the creation of reactive statements for any media or customer issues that could impact Princes.
  • Fully manage the approval process for reactive or proactive communications and ensure statements are made available to the required stakeholders in a timely fashion.
Office and site imagery
  • Coordinate and execute plans to ensure all Princes sites represent the Group image, including stationary, signage, displays, commissions and updated photography or video assets.
  • Develop a system to keep offices and manufacturing sites updated with the latest displays or signage.
Corporate website
  • Manage the Princes corporate website () and Investor Relations page, ensuring key messages and imagery are refreshed as required.
Corporate materials
  • Coordinate and produce corporate communication materials such as brochures, presentations, stationery and other assets.
  • Communicate internally about the communication tools available and direct teams to the correct versions.
Social Media
  • Lead the management of Princes corporate social media accounts (excluding brands), ensuring a planned flow of positive messaging.
Project management
  • Own and manage projects requiring multi‑departmental and agency contribution within agreed budgets and timelines.
Stakeholder engagement
  • Engage with and present to key customers, trade bodies, NGOs or other external stakeholders and represent the Group professionally.
Food Incident Review Meetings
  • Attend Food Incident Review Meetings (FIRM) and lead the creation of any communication requirements or advise the CR Director.
Role Requirements – Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Degree qualification, ideally in communication, marketing or public affairs.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Experience with third‑party publishing software such as Canva, Word Press, Issue.
  • Experience dealing with a broad portfolio of stakeholders, including board‑level executives, customers and NGOs.
  • Awareness of traditional and new media groups.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Media training preferred, particularly press release management.
  • Demonstrable experience matching the main responsibilities.
  • Self‑motivated and capable of motivating others.
  • Proactive improvement mindset within set guidelines.
