Volunteer Outreach Support – Change Grow Live
Join us in delivering confidential, free support for adults (18+) in Liverpool experiencing difficulties with substances. We work with individuals, families, carers and professionals to offer tailored help through one‑to‑one care, group sessions and medication access.
As an Outreach Support Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in promoting our services, engaging with service users, rough sleepers and partner agencies, and supporting the team to re‑engage clients who have dropped out of treatment. Your daily tasks will include:
- Responding to referrals and targeting known locations within the community.
- Actively engaging and building positive relationships with people who are rough sleeping or experiencing substance misuse.
- Signposting individuals and empowering them to access relevant services.
- Advocating for clients and supporting them to achieve their goals.
- Assisting staff with home visits and engaging those unable to attend services.
Interview dates:
Feb 2026 (last two weeks). Training will begin third week of March, 1 day per week for 6 weeks (starting 17 Jan 2026).

Eligibility:
Must be 18 years of age or older. A disclosure and barring service (DBS) check at an enhanced level is required.
