Regional Fundraiser - Merseyside and Cheshire
Role: Regional Fundraiser – Covering Merseyside and Cheshire
Salary: Starting salary of £26,500 per annum (pro‑rata)
Reports to: Regional Fundraising Manager
Hours: Part‑time, 22.5 hours per week
Location: Predominantly home‑based with regular travel across the region; some travel to the head office in South Wales

2wish supports anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We are a largely self‑funded charity providing support across Wales and, more recently, the bordering counties in England. Our support team works very closely with our fundraising team to increase income and raise awareness of the work of 2wish.
This is a unique opportunity for an individual to raise awareness of the charity, build its profile, and engage communities across the English counties that border Wales. The role involves helping to organise fundraising events, working with volunteers, and encouraging community fundraising opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Raise awareness of 2wish and its work in England
- Work alongside the support team in England and build on the reputation of 2wish
- Research, approach and engage community groups and local supporters, developing additional income sources
- Liaise with the public in England who are fundraising for 2wish
- Support the delivery of community and corporate events, monitoring income raised
- Attend community and networking events where necessary
- Actively participate in and collaborate on financial planning for England during regular fundraising meetings
- Submit an annual business plan and budgets for the England fundraising team
- Submit monthly and annual reports to the Fundraising Manager and work to monthly targets
- Support the 2wish Fundraising Team with events and community fundraising
- Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to identify and secure volunteers and ambassadors, meeting them regularly and maintaining engagement
- Maintain relationships with donors, including attending cheque presentations
- Work flexibly, travel, and make overnight stays when required
- Attend weekend and evening community events in support of the charity when required
- Demonstrate a hands‑on, can‑do attitude
- Contribute to the social media platforms maintained by 2wish
- Manage, write and apply for grants and trusts in your area
- Organise own work agenda, time management and administration
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality in accordance with the charity’s policies
- Work as part of a team and attend meetings (virtual and in person) as necessary
- Show respect and sensitivity for the cultural and religious beliefs of families
- Undertake training to update skills as necessary and contribute to evaluation and monitoring processes
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures when working off site
- Participate in team meetings and one‑to‑one meetings, and undertake relevant courses, training or developmental activities
