Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS) supports charities, community groups and voluntary organisations across Liverpool, helping them to develop, collaborate and respond effectively to the needs of local communities. For over a century, LCVS has been working to improve the wellbeing of individuals and communities in Liverpool by supporting and encouraging charitable giving and voluntary action and by bringing people, organisations, and resources together.
LCVS provides support, advice, training, networking and representation for individuals and charitable organisations. We help donors distribute over £4 million every year.
We are recruiting a Grants and Development Officer to support the delivery and development of LCVS grant-making programmes, while contributing more widely to our work to strengthen Liverpool’s voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector.
Working within our Capacity and Engagement Team, the successful candidate will:
- Support the development and administration of accessible, transparent and effective grant programmes.
- Assess grant applications, support funding panels and prepare recommendations for funding decisions.
- Monitor funded projects, expenditure, outcomes and compliance with agreed requirements.
- Analyse monitoring and impact information and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop positive relationships with funded organisations and provide ongoing relational grant management.
- Support local VCFSE organisations to identify opportunities, develop partnerships and access appropriate training and capacity-building support.
- Contribute flexibly to other LCVS programmes and activities that strengthen and advocate for the VCFSE sector across Liverpool.
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who has strong administrative, analytical and communication skills and is committed to supporting voluntary and community organisations to make a positive difference.
