Zarach has also been given an incredible media platform from which they have raised awareness of child bed poverty at local, regional and national levels. This support and awareness has seen the charity deliver over 18,000 bed bundles to children to date!

Job Summary

The North West Family Engagement Officer will work collaboratively with the North West Regional Development Manager and the wider Family Engagement team to provide a comprehensive, high-quality and equitable service to referred families across the North West region, primarily Merseyside. The role will involve assessing families’ needs, including bed requirements and wider support needs, providing appropriate signposting and referrals, and supporting families to improve engagement with schools.

The postholder will monitor incoming referrals on a daily basis, prioritise and allocate workloads appropriately across volunteers, and ensure that families receive timely and effective support within a framework that promotes the safety and wellbeing of families, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders.

The role will also play a key part in supporting the recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of family engagement volunteers, acting as the main point of contact for volunteers within the area and the Designated Safeguarding Officer for your region. The postholder will develop and maintain strong relationships with partner organisations, make relevant referrals to external services, and identify opportunities to establish new regional partnerships.

Through effective coordination, partnership working and a family-centred approach, the role will contribute to positive outcomes for families and strengthen the organisation’s engagement and support across the North West.
