DescriptionDue to continued expansion, the Liverpool Central AM2 Centre is seeking an experienced and committed NET Licensed Assessor to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled industry professional who is looking for flexible, ad‑hoc working arrangements while making a meaningful contribution to the next generation of electricians.
About the RoleAs a NET Licensed Assessor at the Liverpool Central AM2 Centre, you will:
- Deliver fair, consistent, and professional AM2/AM2S/AM2E assessments.
- Uphold NET standards and ensure a high‑quality candidate experience.
- Work collaboratively with a supportive team of assessors and centre staff.
- Contribute to maintaining the centre’s excellent reputation for quality and integrity.
- Practising or recently qualified industry professionals with a NET assessor licence.
- Individuals seeking ad‑hoc, part‑time work that can fit around other commitments.
- Ensure the AM2 Centre high standards of candidate, client, and employer satisfaction against agreed targets.
- Ensuring all health & safety and safeguarding requirements are effectively in place in line with awarding body and college policies.
- Ensure NET rules and regulations are always adhered to.
- Assist in the coordination of the AM2 Centre ensuring we meet the requirements of NET and abide by their policies and procedures.
- Carry out candidate assessments and examinations as detailed in the guidelines defined by NET.
- Be a NET accredited assessor and be fully conversant with the NET Assessor’s Manual and centre specification.
- Carry out maintenance of the centre, continuously making improvements as per NET Guidelines and Policies.
- Play an active part in the coordination of how the centre operates, including the day‑to‑day planning of Assessments, changes to make improvements and develop processes to support the efficiency of the Centre.
- Accurately maintain candidate details, administration of assessment and other records. Carry out all assessor administration as detailed by NET.
- Manage the stock and purchasing of materials for the AM2 Centre.
- Provide returns and documentation as necessary to the AM2 Manager.
- Maintain close contact and develop relationships with employers, appropriate agencies and organisations where appropriate.
- Ensure that data is timely, accurate and complete and used effectively within the centre to identify and plan improvement.
- Contribute to an annual business plan that will deliver the strategic aims and objectives of the AM2 Centre and its stakeholders.
- Assist your AM2 Manager in meeting targets, financial performance measures and contribution ratios.
- Work closely with the AM2 team to ensure that the candidate receives a high‑quality experience and utilises best practice.
- Contribute to the delivery of income targets and ensure that the AM2 Centre’s activities maximise cost efficiency and income.
- Assist in ensuring the AM2 team meets health and safety requirements, undertakes appropriate health and safety risk assessments, and reports any issues to the college Health and Safety advisor as required.
- Be aware of national developments in the subject area and update knowledge and skills on an annual basis.
- Establish and maintain procedures with candidates which promote and maintain appropriate behaviour, communication, and respect for others, while challenging discriminatory behaviour and attitudes.
- Liaise with Head of School and AM2 Manager in contributing to the administration necessary to support the assessment within the AM2 centre.
- Review own professional development needs and participate fully in future training, development and remain up to date with awarding body requirements.
- Contribute to the College and curriculum area strategic objectives and actively engage in the annual review.
