An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic nurses to join our Rheumatology Clinical Specialist Nurse team working in the Rheumatology Department which is based across the Aintree and Broadgreen Hospital sites.
These posts will offer a strong grounding in all areas of Rheumatology and is a unique opportunity for a skilled nurse looking to develop a career in Rheumatology. They will be supported by a highly experienced team of senior Rheumatology Nurse Specialists. Rheumatology advanced practice educational support and role development will also be offered through bespoke training programmes, practical disease assessments and utilising the Competency Framework for Rheumatology Nurses (RCN, 2020) clinical professional resource.
Mainduties of the job
Applicants should ideally have experience in the care of patients with rheumatological autoimmune conditions with some knowledge and skills to educated & monitor patients on immunosuppressive medication. Candidates should be committed to the provision of high-quality patient care and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Job responsibilitiesThis role involves managing patients through the assessment and treatment stages of their disease and includes:
Providing education, advice and monitoring for patients with a wide range of rheumatological autoimmune diseases.
On-going surveillance and efficacy assessment of disease management with appropriate medical intervention.
Undertake nurse led clinics.
Assisting with associated research studies.
Providing support for both patients and their families in both the hospital and community setting.
Person Specification Qualifications- Registered Nurse / Midwife
- Post-basic specialist Qualification relevant to speciality
- Evidence of continued professional development

- Extensive clinical experience
