Staff Nurse - Theatre Admissions Unit

Overview

Are you an experienced Band 5 Staff Nurse who would like to join Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and make a difference to patient care every day?

A 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The Theatre Admissions Unit takes the majority of patients being admitted for surgery and procedures. We admit them peri-operatively and post-operatively recover and discharge them if they are day case patients.

We cover a range of specialities, including but not limited to Urology, Colorectal, Breast, Ophthalmology, Interventional Radiology, and General Surgery.

• Be responsible and accountable for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care.
• Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and undertake delegated tasks from the ward sister/charge nurse.
• Always work within the NMC’s Code of Professional Conduct.

• Experience as a Band 5 Staff Nurse.
• Preferably a strong surgical background.
• Excellent communication skills, a positive and professional manner, and openness to change.
• Drive and commitment to aim to get it right for every patient every time.
