Occupational Health Nurse; fte

Overview

Part-time Occupational Health Nurse sought to join a small team within the Occupational Health Unit to assist the Senior Occupational Health Nurse in delivering a comprehensive occupational health service to the University, including staff, postgraduate, and undergraduate students. The role requires undertaking a full range of occupational health provisions, such as vaccinations, phlebotomy, health screening and surveillance, and completing confidential health records using the OH database.

The service must comply with University and SEQOHS standards.

• Deliver a comprehensive occupational health service to University staff, postgraduate and undergraduate students.
• Provide vaccinations, phlebotomy, health screening and surveillance as part of the OH service.
• Maintain confidential health records using the OH database and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
• Ensure the OH service complies with University policies and SEQOHS standards.
• Collaborate with the Senior Occupational Health Nurse and other colleagues to support a safe and healthy workplace and learning environment.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with relevant clinical knowledge and substantial nursing experience.
• Experience in a similar occupational health setting is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong IT skills with the ability to complete and manage records accurately.
• Professional and organized, with a flexible, proactive approach and the ability to manage a varied workload with minimal supervision.
