Job overviewAn exciting opportunity to join Hewitt Fertility Centre Liverpool as a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
Job Summary
Work as a clinical expert and role model and provide practice development and leadership in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Use expert knowledge to investigate and manage patients referred for specialist fertility treatment
Ensure that all interventions are based on scientific rationale, evidence based standards of care and current best practice guidelines and pathways.
Demonstrate highly developed and advanced specialist knowledge and skills through innovative practice providing increased levels of autonomy.
Support the Matron and wider members of the Divisional Management team in achieving the strategic objectives for the Care Group and the Trust.
It is expected that the individual will work as a clinical expert and role model and provide practice development and leadership in a multi-disciplinary environment. They will act as a Specialist Fertility Nurse Practitioner
The post holder maybe required to work within any of the satellite or transport centres as required
Provide autonomous Nurse-Led Fertility Clinic’s, Embryo Transfers and Trans-Vaginal and/or abdominal Ultrasound Scanning.
Ensure that all four pillars of advanced practice are covered in the work undertaken in practice.
Main duties of the jobKey Relationships
1 Work within trust policies and protocols and accountability to ensure that all practice complies within their remit are complying with Trust and NMC guidance and standards.
2 Act as an advocate for the patient, demonstrating and establishing a relationship of trust with patients and their families.
3 Communicates and agrees with the patient, their determined plan of care in accordance to National and local guidelines and best practice at all times
4 Work with the multi-professional team including the senior nursing and medical management team, and other professionals from transport or satellite centres.
5 Maintain efficient and effective communication and working relationships with other professional groups and staff working within the trust
6 Identify act and liaise with inter agencies regarding safeguarding issues
7 Assist with orientation programmes which familiarise new members of staff with the organisational and clinical demands of the service.
8 Supervise the work of the non-registered staff, including nursing and medical students in conjunction with Higher Institutes of Education
9 Act as an ambassador for the organisation at all times
