• Carry out risk assessments and audits
• Monitor the site to make sure processes are in line with Amazon’s safety procedures
• Create and update reports on safety metrics for colleagues to review
• Work with colleagues in Operations and across the business on safety-related tasks and offer guidance on processes
• Support in putting new safety measures in place

You’ll be at one of our sites so you can closely track what’s happening and people can ask you questions throughout their shifts. The role is all about spotting potential issues before they happen; you’ll spend a lot of time checking the site and learning how people use equipment. By understanding how every task, machine and process works, you’ll be able to think about the best way to keep processes safe.
You’ll also be one of the people to put safety changes into action, getting to work closely with many people. Alongside your daily and weekly tasks, you’ll offer support to our Operations team on ad‑hoc safety-related work.
Safety is so important to Amazon, and you’ll help us gather the vital data that keeps us on top of our processes and ahead of any issues. You’ll also share that data with people across the business and work with other teams to make sure they’re putting safety first.

The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well  team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, ensuring compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and guaranteeing the safety of our work environments. The team offers a variety of opportunities, from Safety Technicians to Programme Managers. Regardless of your role, you’ll contribute to the development and implementation of the safety strategy across the entire network.

NEBOSH (National General Certificate), or NVQ Level 3

Advanced proficiency in the local language (C1 Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR)

Relevant experience using data analysis to generate and explain metrics

Knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
