Short Intro and About the Job
The QC Sensory Analyst is responsible for the control, organisation, and planning of the sensory panel testing.
Main responsibilities & KPIs
- Maintaining KPIs within the sensory lab (lead times, number of tests required etc.)
- Testing powder samples for sensory attributes (taste, smell, visual characteristics).
- Handling of results, inputting data into LIMS, and control of all associated documentation
- Organising the sensory area, samples, and documentation
- Updating documentation to align with current standards and requirements (Danone, ISO)
- Continuous improvement projects focusing on GLP and lead time reduction
- Compliance and enforcement of health and safety standards
- Investigating non-conformances and raising CARs
- Performing ‘Customer Experience Checks’
- Physical property testing (reconstitution, NIR, IDDSI flow test, scoop weight etc.)
- Anticipate and resolve issues
- Assist the lab administration team when required
- Reporting external testing results into LIMS
- The role is assessed against the QC objectives
Exposure to multiple teams makes the role highly transversal within the quality function - Balancing the area priorities with personal targets and projects
- Ability to develop strong relations with internal and external stakeholders
- Opportunities to expand the role to include sensory analysis
- Day-to-day ownership of an area
- Exposure to multiple aspects of QC (testing, GLP implementation, change management)

Education & professional experience
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Capable of working on multiple priorities
- Highly organised and motivated
- Understanding of sensory analysis highly desirable
Technical skills
- Accustomed with physical processing of food ingredients, especially dry powder
- Good analytical and technical capabilities
- Presentation skills
- Problem solving skills
- PC literate and comfortable using Microsoft office and LIMS
