Research Support Officer in Hydration and Health (Fixed term for 2 years)
Join Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) in a two-year research programme on hydration and health.
The role will work alongside Professor Neil Walsh and a Research Officer on an industry-funded research programme extending recently published work.
Responsibilities- Assist in all aspects of the programme of work, including study design, ethical approval and the day-to-day running and administration of the research project.
- Implement interventions and assist in collection and interpretation of data.
- Produce technical reports and manuscripts for publication.
- Good honours degree (First or 2.1) in a relevant subject area such as nutrition, human physiology, health psychology, or exercise science.
- A masters postgraduate degree is desirable.
- Experience conducting high quality research and biological sample collection (including venous blood collection), handling, storage (in accordance with GLP), biochemical analysis and quality control techniques.
- Experience working with sponsors from industry is desirable.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a continuously demanding workload.
Anticipated interview date will be the week commencing 26th January 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to commence in March 2026.
