Postdoctoral Research Associate in Plasma Catalysis; Part Time – Grade 7

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our dynamic research team in the interdisciplinary field of plasma catalysis. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to pioneering research on plasma-based Power-to-X technologies for the sustainable production of fuels and chemicals. You will be involved in the design, development, and optimisation of plasma-catalytic reactors and integrated processes, as well as the synthesis and characterisation of catalytic materials.

The role will focus on reactor engineering, process intensification, and system integration, while developing a deeper understanding of plasma-catalytic processes. You will work closely with internal team members and external partners and contribute to knowledge exchange and dissemination activities through presentations, workshops, and outreach initiatives.

• Part-time, flexible working and job-share considered where possible (minimum 0.5 FTE).
• Fixed-term position for up to 12 months.
• If still awaiting PhD, appointment at Grade 6, spine point 30; upon confirmation of PhD, salary increases to Grade 7, spine point 31.
• Salary: £39,906 to £43,482 per annum pro rata.
