We work in an un-stuffy and buzzy, yet sharply focused environment, which in many ways is a challenge unlike any other in the UK. Full and thorough training of systems, products, methods andservicesteps will be provided.
The role requires solid professional experience in a comparable setting with the ability to work to a high standard under pressure, setting the bar for the wider team. The role will also require great organisation skills, methodical work practices,excellentcommunicationskills, and more than anything, the desire to be a true team player,willing to help and coachthe junior team where needed.
- Provide consistently exceptional, memorable service.
- To assist in the setup and close-down of the restaurant.
- Ensure all orders are taken accurately, and items are received in a timely manner.
- To support the team's development whilst ensuring the efficient and effective running of your
- own section.
- Ensure that the preparation and presentation of your products are of a high standard and is in line with the standards set.
- Understand our guests' expectations, keeping this at the forefront of your mind through the day, ensuring that your attention to detail, style and technical level of service is equal to or better than, exceeds expectation.
- Organisation, ability to think 2-3 steps ahead with mise-en-place and a masterful table-side presence are essential.
- Assist with the management of waste & stock control
- Report any faults or defects as you see them.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and personal hygiene practices.
- Ensure that you are correctly dressed in your uniform; you will set the standard for the team.
- Maintain a professional working relationship across all departments in the business.
- To help train, where necessary, any new staff in the restaurant.
- Take shared responsibility for and attend all relevant training, as and when required
- Show willingness to take on additional responsibilities when appropriate.
- Comply with the company polices and code of conduct at all times.
Any other tasks as delegated by your line manager
- Proven experience in a similar role working to a high standard in a fast-paced, busy environment
- The ability to provide consistently exceptional, memorable service waiting a section of 4-6 tables, up to 40 covers at a time, in a very busy and pressured environment where the cover-flow is engineered to have sittings that maximise atmosphere and occupancy
- Strong understanding of front and back end of booking engine/reservation software
- Understanding of business objectives and KPIs
