Retail Assistant

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Speke Boulevard, Speke. This is a permanent full‑time position of 39 hours per week, covering a variety of shifts across the week.

• Hourly rate: £10.95 for ages 16‑20, £12.81 for ages 21+.

Hours:

39 hours per week across 5 days, typically 7 a day.

Availability: flexible throughout the week including weekends.

• Greet customers with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Assist customers in locating items.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offer help with packing, and leave a positive impression.
• Handle stock, including deliveries, and place products in freezers and on shelves.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

• Friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy; ability to switch between tasks such as deliveries, till service, customer assistance, cleaning and stock rotation.
• Reliable and dependable; essential for a small team.
• Flexibility with shift patterns; willingness to cover for team members and accommodate rota changes.
