At B&M, we're looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to support our Retail team, providing critical financial insight, robust analysis and constructive challenge that drives profitable decision‑making. Working closely with Central and Regional stakeholders across Retail Operations, you will play a key role in improving performance across a diverse store portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive finance professional who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders, influencing commercial decisions and turning complex data into actionable insights. You will be at the heart of budgeting, forecasting, reporting and performance analysis, helping to maximise store profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with central Retail Operations, Profit protection Store Efficiency teams and regional managers to challenge performance, provide insight and influence business decisions.
- Produce and own weekly and monthly reporting, including KPI dashboards, variance analysis and performance commentary.
- Analyse the Retail cost base – in particular, store shrinkage, repairs and maintenance and store hours to understanding the key drivers of performance YOY and vs Budget.
- Conduct periodic reviews with the regional managers to peer review performance across a series of key metric, including store profitability.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes, improving forecast accuracy and challenging key assumptions.
- Strong commercial finance experience with the ability to analyse P&L performance, margins, price and volume drivers.
- CIMA / ACCA qualified with 3+ years experience in similar role within Retail, Leisure or Travel.
- Previous experience of advanced modelling in excel and visualising insights into Power BI or equivalent tool.
- A proactive, curious and results-focused approach with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable recommendations.
