Job purpose:Accountable to the Team Leader for the day to day running of the bookings department, ensuring procedures are followed and customer satisfaction is maintained.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage your own time to best efficiency for the business
- Deal with customer and agent queries in a timely manner ensuring that those involved are kept updated at all times.
- Communicate with shipping lines to arrange / amend bookings
- Ensure bookings match what customer has booked and in a timely manner
- Measure, monitor and review performance of your trades
- Ensure procedures are followed at all times
- Make sure company standards are followed, and the customer experience is a positive one
- Ensure clients and overseas agents are kept up to date with shipment status, in particular any issues that may cause delays
- Report any issues to the line manager if they cannot be dealt with by yourself or will take an extended amount of time to complete
- Liaise and communicate effectively with the documentation department and work to serve clients successfully
- Ensure all analysis codes are set for master files and individual consignments
- Demonstrate & generate enthusiasm

- A minimum of 2 years freight experience
- Excellent telephone manner
