Job Title: Business Development Manager – Digital Trust Location: Field-based – United Kingdom Package: Competitive salary + OTE + company carDue to the growth of our Digital Trust portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our System Certification team on a full-time and permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to own and develop our Digital Trust sector strategy and market presence across the United Kingdom. You’ll also have the opportunity to become a recognised industry expert across digital trust, regulatory and assurance‑led environments.
AboutThe Role
In this role, you’ll create trusted partnerships with clients through consultative and collaborative sales approaches. You’ll build an in‑depth understanding of their business needs and drivers as well as identifying and managing sales opportunities aligned to digital trust and cyber security offerings. You will own and manage the complete sales process from initial conversations, to building complex quotations through to a successful conclusion.
This is a field‑based position which will require travel across the United Kingdom to attend meetings and client visits.
Responsibilities- Proactively identify opportunities to win new business through growth of existing accounts and outbound activities.
- Continuously seek opportunities to cross‑sell and/or upsell existing products and services.
- Lead complex, consultative sales cycles from opportunity identification through to close.
- Partner with subject matter experts to effectively convey complex ideas and business proposals showing breadth and depth of products and services.
- Accurately forecast revenue and manage opportunities in line with agreed targets.
- Create complex quotations in line with compliance requirements.
- Remain up to date with developments in the standards industry.
For this role, you will need to have proven field‑based B2B solution sales experience within digital trust, cyber security or a related field. You’ll also bring energy, new ideas and proven experience in hunting new business as well as nurturing existing client relationships.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels including c‑suite.
- Excellent sales, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience of working in a KPI driven environment.
- Working knowledge of the certification industry would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of digital trust and cyber security including ISO 27001 would be an advantage.
- Experience of SOC2 , NIS2 and ISO 42001 would be desirable.
- Previous use of Salesforce would also be desirable.
- A full and valid UK driving licence is essential.
