About the role
Deliver exceptional service throughout the sales process, focusing on the agency and corporate markets to attract conferences, meetings and banquets. Manage client relationships and support the delivery of successful events from enquiry through to confirmation.
Responsibilities- Manage conference, meeting and banquet enquiries from initial contact through to contracting.
- Prepare proposals, quotations and costings for prospective clients.
- Conduct client site visits and venue tours.
- Research and contact prospective business leads.
- Present the client to prospective clients.
- Support the Corporate Sales Team with administrative duties.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Network within the local, regional and national business community at industry meetings.
- Maintain accurate sales records and produce reports.
- Entertain prospective clients and organise events to showcase the venue and destination.
- Attend client meetings, exhibitions and industry events across the UK as required.
- Manage client account relationships.
- Communicate and negotiate effectively with customers.
- Produce proposals and reports accurately.
- Use the Momentous diary management system.
- Deliver excellent customer service within a fast‑paced environment.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Provide insight and understanding of event delivery or operations (desirable).
- Driven and ambitious Sales Account Manager with experience in the conference, events, hospitality or venue industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a sales environment, preferably in the conference, events, hospitality or venue sector.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience using the Momentous diary management system.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service within a fast‑paced environment.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Insight and understanding of event delivery or operations (desirable).
Contract:
Full time maternity cover basis from 27 July 2026 to 6 August 2027.
Salary: £29,775.91 – £33,062.12 per annum.
