Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Information Governance Officer to join our growing Information Governance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in data protection, records management, information governance or compliance who wants to develop their career within the NHS.
Working alongside the Information Governance Manager, Data Governance Lead, Data Protection Officer and wider governance teams, you will help ensure the organisation meets its statutory obligations and maintains high standards of information governance, confidentiality and data protection.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

Provide advice and guidance on Information Governance, data protection and records management.

Support compliance with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, Caldicott Principles and NHS information governance requirements.

· Review and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Information Sharing Agreements and other governance documentation.

· Assist in the investigation and management of data security incidents and confidentiality breaches.

· Support responses to Subject Access Requests and other individual rights requests where required.

· Assist with the maintenance and review of Information Governance policies, procedures and guidance.

· Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation to promote best practice in the management and protection of information.
