The Opportunity

Our client is one of the fastest-growing housing associations in the Northwest, offering excellent long-term prospects within their responsive maintenance team. They are now looking for an experienced Painter & Decorator to join their Liverpool team, working across both occupied and void social housing properties.

Key Duties

All aspects of internal and external painting & decorating

Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, patch plastering, and making good

Applying undercoats, gloss, emulsion, varnish, and specialist coatings

Wallpapering, stripping old wallpaper, and ensuring smooth finishes

Minor multi-trade tasks (e.g., basic joinery, sealing, small repairs)

Working on both planned and reactive maintenance in domestic properties

Using PDA systems to receive, manage, and update daily work orders

Engaging positively with tenants, delivering excellent customer service

Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with health & safety guidelines

Requirements

NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating or proven equivalent experience

Previous experience working in social housing or domestic occupied properties

Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Experience using PDA systems

Full UK driving licence

Must be clean shaven for Face Fit testing

No more than 6 points on licence; no alcohol/drug-related bans
