Overview

Digi Kape Resourcing is a leading recruitment agency, specialising in filling ad hoc shifts and providing temporary and permanent placements for both public and private sectors. We are looking to place Family Support Workers in Knowsley. Our Client's Family time support work team are recruiting 3 family support workers to complete family time sessions as ordered from the court arena.

Responsibilities

The role will include supervising family time, completing wishes and feelings of children and providing family time reports and analysis and also attend meetings as and when required.

Hours

The hours are 36 hours per week. We would anticipate that the main visits would be Monday to Friday 9-5; however, there is some flexibility to work on weekends and from 8am to 10pm when required for families.

Person Specifications
  • Minimum of 2 years, recent experience of working directly with families with multiple needs with children aged 0-18.
  • Ability to work in partnership with partner agencies, families and communities.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills with service users, professionals and other colleagues.
  • Ability to keep appropriate records and produce reports.
  • Experience of engaging and maintaining open constructive relationships with service users.
  • Experience of engaging hard to reach families using persistence and creativity.
  • To have an assertive and pro-active approach to partnership working including the ability to identify and overcome barriers.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of, acceptance and commitment to the principles underlying equal opportunities.
  • Demonstrable commitment to safeguarding the welfare and safety of children and young people at all times.
  • Ability to prioritise work under pressure and to be self-motivating.
