Our client, a Greater Manchester council, is seeking an experienced Children's Advanced Partitioner to join their EDT Team. Fantastic payrate of up to £37 per hour! Deliver a high-quality Emergency Duty Social Work service to children, adults, and families outside of normal working hours, responding to urgent safeguarding concerns and crises Assess and prioritise incoming referrals, making informed, autonomous decisions on level of risk, required interventions, and safeguarding actions Undertake safeguarding investigations for children and vulnerable adults, ensuring immediate protection plans are implemented in line with statutory guidance Provide crisis intervention, advice, and emotional support, stabilising situations and ensuring appropriate interim plans are in place until daytime services resume Carry out risk assessments and emergency planning, including decision-making around child protection, placements, and urgent care arrangements Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including police, health services, and emergency services to coordinate effective safeguarding responses Maintain accurate and timely records, prepare professional reports, and ensure clear handovers to daytime services to support continuity of care Take a lead role on shift, supporting colleagues, allocating work, and providing guidance on complex cases to ensure safe and effective service delivery Requirements of this role:
Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England. Must have minimum of 3 years experience working as a Qualified social worker Must have EDT experience
