Mockingbird Fostering Social Worker / Liaison Worker

As the Mockingbird Liaison Worker you will have a strong social work career background within children and families and sound knowledge of safeguarding and fostering, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the Mockingbird model, fostering regulations, legislation, statutory guidance and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse, complex and varied caseload, always being child‑centred in your approach.
  • Make effective decisions and advise, supervise and support foster carers to ensure stable placements for children and young people.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained and champion good practice to reduce risks, building on strengths through effective internal and external communication.
  • Excel in purposeful, effective partnership working and champion good practice.
Qualifications
  • Strong social work career background within children and families.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding and fostering.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Mockingbird model and fostering regulations, legislation, statutory guidance and processes.
