Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Housing Officer

About

The Role

We’re looking for someone who combines a positive attitude with strong communication and relationship‑building skills. You’ll be confident working with customers and colleagues, helping to deliver services that make a real difference in our communities.

As a Housing Officer, you’ll undertake customer visits, manage low‑level anti‑social behaviour cases, carry out estate inspections and oversee void management, including the allocation and letting of homes.

You’ll be organised, able to manage competing priorities and comfortable using a wide range IT systems. Above all, you’ll be someone who can build trust, communicate effectively and put customers at the heart of what you do.

About You

You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload often working to targets and tight deadlines. You will be part of a team but the role does require the ability to work on your own initiative and carry out lone working in the community and in customer’s homes. Previous knowledge and experience within a social housing environment, housing legislation and knowledge of welfare reform changes would be an advantage.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
