Volunteer Youth Leader & Lifesaving Mentor

Youth Helper works directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units, supporting Youth Leaders to deliver sessions across our range of programmes. You will support the learning and development of young people into the next generation of health citizens and help them develop confidence, teamwork skills, and self-discipline, while encouraging them to strive to be their best.

You will also supervise and support other adult volunteers in the team.

• Learn lifesaving first aid
• Build confidence and resilience
• Gain valuable life skills
• Work towards awards such as the Super Badger, Grand Prior, Duke of Edinburgh, and Amalfi
• Take on leadership roles, join training teams, become radio operators, cadet reporters, event leads, and more
• Enjoy residential weekends, regional events, and summer camp

• Keen to help shape meaningful youth programmes

No previous first‑aid or youth work experience is required – just the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
