We Do Social Work is currently recruiting experienced Interim SEND Caseworkers on behalf of our Local Authority partners across the UK.

The Role

As an Interim SEND Caseworker, you will manage a caseload of Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments and plans, ensuring statutory compliance while working collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of EHC needs assessments, annual reviews, amendments, and phase transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Draft, review, and amend high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers, educational settings, health professionals, and social care teams.
  • Coordinate multi-agency meetings and support person-centred planning.
  • Maintain accurate case records and meet statutory deadlines.
  • Contribute to service improvements and performance targets.
About You

We're looking for professionals who have:

  • Previous experience working as a SEND Caseworker within a UK Local Authority.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory processes.
  • Experience managing EHC assessments, annual reviews, and EHCP drafting.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage a busy caseload while delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience using Local Authority case management systems is advantageous.
