Tribunal & Complaints Officer – SEND

£400 per day (LTD) | 35 hours per week | Hybrid | 2 days per week on-site

We Do Social Work Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Tribunal & Complaints Officer to join a SEND service on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable SEND professional with a strong background in complaints management and tribunal processes to provide additional capacity and help address a current backlog.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the effective management and resolution of SEND complaints and tribunal matters
, helping to reduce outstanding cases and improve the overall service.

You will be responsible for working through a backlog of complaints and tribunal cases, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently, professionally and in line with relevant processes and timescales.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A proven track record of working within SEND complaints and tribunal processes
    .
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the SEND statutory framework and associated processes
    .
  • Experience managing a caseload of complex complaints and/or tribunal matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • The confidence to work independently and hit the ground running in an interim environment.
  • A thorough, professional and solutions-focused approach.
Contract Details
  • Rate: £350 - £400 per day (LTD)
  • Hours: 35 hours per week
  • Working arrangement: Hybrid
  • On-site requirement: 2 days per week
  • Duration: Short-term interim assignment
  • Start: ASAP

This is a temporary capacity-building role designed to provide specialist support in clearing a backlog of SEND complaints and tribunal cases. It is not anticipated to become a long-term or permanent position
