We're looking for an Extra Care Housing Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis (18.5 hours per week) at our Extra Care
scheme in Kirkby, Knowsley. This role is worked across Tuesday, Thursday and a half day on Friday, providing a regular and
consistent presence for our residents.
This is a rewarding role where you will work closely with residents, their families and partner agencies to provide
housing-related support that promotes independence, wellbeing and tenancy sustainment. You'll play a key role in helping residents
remain safe and connected within their community, whilst supporting them to access services, maintain their quality of life, and
achieve positive outcomes.
As part of a dedicated Extra Care team, you will provide a visible and responsive service, support residents through changes in
circumstances, and create opportunities for health, wellbeing and social engagement.
What you'll be doing:- Providing housing-related support that helps residents live independently and sustain their tenancies
- Carrying out property viewings and promoting the benefits of Extra Care living to prospective tenants
- Completing needs and risk assessments and developing personalised support plans tailored to individual needs
- Supporting residents to settle into their homes, understand their tenancy responsibilities, and access relevant services and
- Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reviewing support plans to ensure they remain effective and responsive to changing needs.
- Working closely with families, care providers and partner agencies to coordinate support and achieve positive outcomes.
- Arranging adaptations and assistive technology to help residents maintain their independence and quality of life.
- Collaborating with Allocations and Voids teams to support new tenancy sign-ups and minimise void rent loss.
- Developing and delivering health, wellbeing and social activities that encourage participation, independence and community
- Building connections between residents and the wider community to reduce social isolation and promote active lifestyles.
- Maintaining accurate records, contributing to audits and supporting the effective performance of the scheme.
- Promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring services are safe, responsive and person-centred.
- Experience working in housing, social care, health, support services or a similar role supporting older or vulnerable people
- Experience carrying out assessments, support planning and providing person-centred support
- Knowledge of safeguarding and a commitment to promoting independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents, colleagues and partner agencies.
- Confidence managing challenging situations and adapting to changing resident needs.
- Experience helping people access support services, welfare advice or budgeting support
- Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
Interviews will take place at The Maples, Kirkby on Friday 21st August 2026 and will consist of competency-based questions, giving
you the opportunity to demonstrate your skills, experience and suitability for the role.
