The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Liverpool Children and Young People’s Services as we integrate our SEND and Inclusion services, enabling a holistic understanding of and response to children and young people’s needs .

• As the Leaning Support Mentor of the Visually Impaired you will be a key player by providing specialist support to young children with visual impairments in school .This role aims to enhance the child’s independence and facilitate a smooth transition into educational environments
• As a key player in this service area, you will work as part of a team that includes the Operational Leader (VI), Qualified teachers of the visually Impaired (QTVI) and Support staff
• As the Learning Support Mentor of the Visually Impaired you will be reporting directly to the Operational Leader (VI), you will contribute significantly to supporting our mission of providing quality education to every child and young person, irrespective of their background or challenges they may face and will work with colleagues to be the first point of contact for referrals
