Residential Support Worker
Location:
Liverpool, Merseyside
Salary: £29,000 per annum
Employment Type:
Full-time, Permanent
A rewarding opportunity has become available for a Residential Support Worker in Liverpool, Merseyside, supporting children and young people within a caring, structured residential setting. You’ll help create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes stability, independence, and positive outcomes—while working as part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities- Providing consistent, high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people
- Building positive, trusting relationships and supporting wellbeing through trauma-informed practice
- Supporting daily routines, education, activities, and life-skills development while maintaining accurate records and following care plans
- Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care or Health & Social Care (Children’s Pathway)
- A minimum of 12 months’ experience working in a children’s home (or similar residential setting)
- Full UK driving licence (with fewer than 6 penalty points) and ability to drive a manual vehicle
- Enhanced DBS Check (Update Service registration is advantageous)
- £29,000 per annum with opportunities for overtime/additional shifts
- Fully funded training and qualifications, including support towards Level 4
- Career progression pathways (e.g., Senior Support Worker, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager)
