We are supporting a globally recognised engineering business at the forefront of advanced radar and surveillance technology in the search for a Senior Software Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the development of innovative, high-performance software solutions used within cutting‑edge maritime navigation and defence systems. You will take ownership of software design across the full lifecycle, contributing to both new product development and the continuous improvement of existing systems.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering robust, high‑quality software from initial concept through to verification and release. You will also act as a technical mentor within the team, supporting the development of junior engineers and contributing to a collaborative engineering environment.

• Designing, developing, and delivering software solutions in line with project requirements
• Taking ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from specification through to testing and maintenance
• Supporting and enhancing existing software to meet evolving commercial and technical needs
• Collaborating with internal teams as well as external customers, suppliers, and partners
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
• Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation across software development practices

• Strong experience in C++ software development
• Proven experience delivering projects across the full software development lifecycle
• Solid understanding of development environments such as Microsoft Visual Studio (2022/2026)
• Experience with GUI/UX or Human‑Computer Interaction (HCI)
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Power Shell
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
