Founding Software Engineer | Deep Tech | On-site London | Up-To £180,000 + Equity

A well-funded, early-stage AI infrastructure startup is tackling one of the most persistent bottlenecks in the physical world. The team is building the core AI systems that will enable the next wave of real-world, AI-driven innovation.

They’re looking for a founding engineer who thrives on ownership, moves fast, and wants to help shape both the product and the company from day one. This is a hands‑on role in a small, highly technical team where you’ll ship early, iterate quickly, and take responsibility end to end.

• Write and ship production-ready code from day one
• Own full‑stack feature development across infrastructure, tooling, and application layers
• Tackle a wide range of technical and operational challenges — from scaling infrastructure and fine‑tuning models to speaking with customers and helping hire future teammates
• Define requirements, write specs, and drive projects forward in a highly ambiguous, fast‑moving environment

• 2+ years of experience building and deploying real‑world products
• Strong understanding of modern AI systems, including LLMs, multimodal models, agents, and supporting tooling (e.g., Lang Chain, RAG pipelines, SFT / RL fine‑tuning)
• Solid infrastructure experience, including cloud platforms, containerization, and relational or graph databases
• Proven ability to build independently, move quickly, and maintain high engineering standards
• Nice to have: prior experience as a founder or early engineer at a startup

• Compensation: up‑to £180k base salary, depending on experience, plus meaningful equity
• Location: On‑site in London (visa sponsorship and relocation support available)
