International Freight Coordinator (Ocean Import)

Ready to move past basic data entry and take true ownership of your shipments? We are partnering with a premier Liverpool-based freight provider. They are looking for a proactive International Freight Coordinator to manage global sea freight trade lanes and deliver exceptional service from booking to delivery.

• End-to-End Management:
  Oversee deep-sea import shipments (FCL & LCL) from the initial booking right through to final delivery and container de-vanni.
• Proactive Problem Solving:
  Coordinate seamlessly with shipping lines, hauliers, port authorities, and overseas partners to bypass supply-chain bottlenecks and minimize demurrage/detention charges.
• Compliance Precision:
  Manage customs documentation accurately, handling import declarations, clearance procedures, and ensuring shipments are audit-ready.
• Client Champion:
  Build strong rapport with customers by providing proactive tracking updates, arrival notices, and tailored logistics solutions.

• Relevant
  
  Experience:
  
  2+ years of frontline experience focusing on Ocean Import operations within a UK freight forwarding environment.
• Maritime Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of sea freight procedures, port systems (such as CNS or Destin8), Incoterms, and documentation like Bills of Lad.
• Systems Savvy:
  Experience using industry-standard platforms such as Cargo Wise, Multi Freight, or similar softw.
• Care-Mindset:
  An organized, detail-oriented approach with the ability to thrive under pressure in a busy port-city environment.
