Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 2 driver to join our team. This role involves delivering goods efficiently and safely across various locations. The successful candidate will possess a strong driving background, ideally with experience in commercial driving and delivery operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to utilise their driving skills within a dynamic logistics environment.

Responsibilities

* Safely operate a Class 2 HGV lorry, adhering to all relevant road safety regulations and company policies.

* Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely collection and drop-off of goods.

* Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

* Secure loads appropriately on the flatbed to prevent movement during transit, maintaining safety standards at all times.

* Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.

* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules or delays.

* Uphold high standards of customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Qualifications

* Valid HGV Class 2 licence recognised in the UK.

* Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar lorries.

* Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with logistics operations.

* Good knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure load handling.

* Ability to operate a flatbed truck confidently and responsibly.

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.

* Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues.

* Must be physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
